The Journal of Research on History of Medicine is an international, peer-reviewed journal committed to publishing the highest quality scholarship in the history of medical sciences from ancient to contemporaneous periods, across all eras and cultures. We invite original scholarly submissions from around the world on the historical development of medicine—covering medical concepts and practices, biographies of medical personalities, archival and archaeological studies, and the roots of traditional medical systems from antiquity through the modern era. Accepted submissions will be published as review articles (historical reviews based on literature and published papers, both narrative and systematic reviews), original research articles, short communications, letters to the editor, historical images, biographies, bibliographies, and book reviews. Established in 2012, the journal publishes four issues annually. We operate an open access policy, and we have no publication or processing fee. Accepted articles are available in full text immediately, under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC 4.0).
